Roundcube rocks

Roundcube has a beautiful simplicity about its interface. It depends heavily on modern browsers, so I worry a little about its performance on smaller devices. But still, it really is a refreshing change from large clunky interfaces.

Installation was very easy. Just extract the tar.gz and read the INSTALL document. If the pre-requisites are there then its just 5 minutes and you’re up, otherwise you might be on a wild goose chase. It definitely needs an up to date hosting provider, with PHP 5.2 at least, and a reasonably up to date MySQL. A dedicated database is of course always a bonus.

This is the reason that I changed my Dovecot settings. Some sort of a guide should be the next step. Watch this space. (Or the one above!)
